Every UBTT division runs its own schedule, its own director, and its own payouts. Pick the division that fits your water, and you get the director's contact information, tournament dates, live results, and point standings for every event.

One membership covers you in all five divisions. Fish six events anywhere on the tour and you qualify for the championship. Your comments, questions and concerns are always welcome.

Five trails, one tour

Each division sets its own schedule, entry fees and options. One membership fishes them all.

Southern Utah

Sand Hollow, Quail Creek, Gunlock and Minersville. The busiest trail on the tour, including night events.

Standings & Qualifying

Points are place plus weight

First place earns 100 points plus your total bag weight, then one point down per place. Win with 14.39 pounds and you bank 114.39 points. A team that does not weigh fish receives half of the last weighing team's points. Only your best six finishes count toward Angler of the Year.

Four ways to qualify

Fish six events. Six UBTT tournaments in any division, or a combination of divisions.

Buy in. Pay the entry fee in advance for an event you cannot attend. Allowed twice per year, and you must still fish at least four other events.

Alternate partner. Fish with an approved alternate, up to twice per season. Alternates must be current UBTT members.

Sponsorship berth. A corporation or individual can qualify for the TOC by sponsorship, $1,600 minimum, approved no later than 10 days prior.

Angler of the Year: your best six finishes count toward the division title. The Tour Division title requires at least three different divisions.

Tournament Rules

Know them before you launch

34 rules cover every UBTT tournament. Knowing them is on you, and the tournament director has the final say. Here are the ones anglers ask about most.

All 34 Rules

Five fish, twelve inches

Five fish per two angler team, five for an angler fishing alone. Twelve inch minimum unless the state or lake limit is different. Measured flat, mouth open, tail fanned.

Penalties

Dead fish costs 0.2 pounds each. A short fish is removed from the catch and costs one pound. Late to check in is a disqualification.

25 yard rule

No boat moves inside 25 yards of another competitor to fish without consent. Passing through is fine as long as you are not fishing the area.

Safety is not optional

Kill switch attached to the driver any time the combustion engine runs, with a Coast Guard approved life jacket worn at the same time. Aerated livewell required.

Tackle and methods

Artificial lures only, pork rind excepted. One rod and reel at a time, eight feet maximum. All angling from the boat.

Pre fishing cutoff

Pre fish any day before the event, but every participating angler is off the water by 4:00 PM the day before.

A membership is required for every angler fishing a UBTT tournament. Good for one year from the date you sign up.
