Kyle Richins and Brent James weathered the storm to take 1st place honors at Quail Lake on Saturday April 14, 2012. Kyle and Brent reported fising mostley shallow water using jigs and soft plastics rigged Carolina Style to land the winning limit of 16.89 lbs. Great job!
Wes and Waylon Nunley brought in a total weight of 12.33 lbs. to finish in 2nd place at Quail Lake April 14, 2012. Wes and Waylon pitched jigs in water less than 8' deep to catch their fish. Wes stated that he bought a Rippin' Lips jig Saturday morning at the sign up and it was the only bait he used to catch fish.
Lynn Jonas and Bob Dennett landed the 3rd place spot with 11.78 lbs. Lynn and Bob caught all their fish on jigs in the 10' to 15' depth range.
Tyler Vanderhorst and Camron Johnson took Big Bass honors with a 5.85 lb. Quail Lake Toad. Tyler and Camron had the largest weight at the 11:00 AM weigh-in with two fish totaling 10.80 lbs. They continue to lead the point standings with a total of 448.78 points after 4 events in the Southern Utah Division.
We want to thank all the anglers for coming out to support the Quail Lake Tournament even though the weather was cold with rain and wind all day long.
